4 1/2" ( 11.5cm ) all bisque
seated figure of an Edwardian lady with sleeveless magenta dress and
coordinated wide brimmed hat with large green feathers, and holding up
the dress in front to expose her legs with stockings, a shocking and
socially unacceptable act in the age of manufacture of this item. Although
unmarked, the style, theme, facial design, and colors used clearly suggest
the maker to be the German firm of Schaeffer-Vater.
US$ 195.

5 1/2" ( 14cm ) tall (including
base which is 1/2" tall) all bisque figure of a mad faced pouty boy with
molded and painted features, incised on bottom of the characteristically
Schaeffer- Vater green base with the incised numbers " 8784 " . His side
glancing blue intaglio eyes and drooping mouth gives you the definite
impression that you dare not mess with him if you know what is good for you!

31/2" (9 cm)
long by 2 1/2" (6.5 cm) high, this is an all bisque German bisque pink pig,
circa 1920, marked with a black stamp underneath reading "Made in
Germany" and with a black stamp on the back saying "Souvenir of
Philadelphia". The figure appears to be in perfect condition. There is a
speck of white on the edge of one ear but with close examination under a
strong magnifying glass it reveals it is nothing more than a slight "paint
skip" and not a chip or flaw of any kind.

16" (40 cm) tall by 10" (26 cm) wide by 5 1/2" (14 cm)
deep, this largest size of the ever popular GEBRUDER HEUBACH "dancing girl
with tambourine" is incised in back with the Heubach "fan" mark. Elaborately
decorated in "coralline" with the blue skirt and purple bow on shoulder have
the rough gritty substance found on the so-called "snow figures". Truly a
superior example in perfect condition! US$ 1,950. |
