This nice 17" ( 43 cm. ) German "dolly face " is from Heinrich Handwerck and incised " 79 10 Germany " has brown glass sleep eyes, open mouth with four upper teeth, well painted multistroke eyebrows and upper and lower lashes, and has an overall nice oily patina to the bisque. The original unmarked wood and composition fully jointed body is in excellent condition with well preserved original finish. She is suitably dressed in a period white cotton dress, antique underwear, newer pale stockings and well made replacement brown leather shoes . The wig, although lovely, is also made from later blond mohair and is parted on the left side. A very pretty doll in a desirable size. US$ 495.

Cute cabinet size character baby ( 12 1/2", 32 cm. ) from Kammer and Reinhardt with head incised " K&R SIMON& HALBIG 121 32" with blue glass sleep eyes, painted upper and lower lashes, feathered eyebrows, and an open mouth with two upper teeth, and pronounced dimples in both cheeks. He wears his original short dark blond mohair wig and is on the original five piece bent limb composition body with nice original finish. The pale two tone blue and white cotton romper suit is of the period of the doll. A good quality doll in a most desirable size. US$ 350.

Adorable AM 341 " Dream Baby " with flange neck, closed mouth and painted hair and brown glass sleep eyes, a variation known as the " pillow baby " or " pillow puppet'. The pillow has an opening in the back where the child can insert his hand a put fingers into the bottom opening of the head and also into the two hands as one would with a puppet. The hands are celluloid and the pillow is covered in front with a lovely pale green silk with white gauze arm coverings with fancy lace edgings all around and a frail green silk ribbon bow in the center. The doll head has an 8" circumference and the length of the pillow is 13" including the lace border. A very nice inexpensive doll/novelty item in wonderful condition and at a very reasonable price! Another AM 341 " Dream Baby " "pillow baby " or " pillow puppet " similar to the other doll but with a pink silk pillow cover ( minor " foxing " due to humidity ) with slight variation of design to the other, also slightly larger with this blue eyed head having a 10" head circumference with the length of the pillow about 16" including the lace edge trim . Although sold separately these two items complement each other very nicely and come from the same source and have always been together so since they are not all that expensive it would be very nice if they could possibly stay together (!?!).  US$295.
