Adorable Kestner pouty boy, 11 1/2" ( 29cm ) tall, with blue glass sleep eyes, closed pursed mouth, finely painted lashes and multistroke blond eyebrows, incised " 184." He wears his original bobbed blond mohair wig over plaster pate ( detached ) , is on the original fully jointed pink wood and composition body with original finish , and is attired in an antique midnight blue velvet one piece costume with trousers flailed at the base, with a white lace collar in the " Little Lord Fauntleroy " style. This is one of the nicest molds from the Kestner series of character dolls and is very difficult to find in the glass eyed version. US$ 2,950.

Although petite in size ( 13", 33cm ), this rare doll by Kley and Hahn does not lack in either appeal or quality of expression or modeling. This model had brown glass sleep eyes and is incised " K&H [ in a banner ] 549 1 Germany " and has the finest quality of bisque, closed mouth with the hint of a smile, finely painted eyelashes and " flyaway " eyebrows, and deep dimples in both cheeks and chin. She is her original fully jointed wood and composition body with original finish ( one thumb repaired ) and wears all antique clothing , blond mohair wig, long pink cotton stockings and white leather shoes, as well as a wide brimmed finely woven straw hat edged in pink with pink pompoms dangling all around. It is probable that all is original , or at least is all of the period of the doll, circa 1910-1914. A darling doll in superb condition, she certainly exemplifies the phrase "Pretty in Pink ". US$ 3,950.

13" ( 33cm ) Gebruder Heubach glass eyed character pouty doll with closed mouth, blue glass sleep eyes, well painted lashes and brows, and incised on back of head " 6970 Germany 3 1/2 ", on original fully jointed good quality body with the recognized red stamp logo of " Holz Masse " on top of back torso ( minor paint touch up of a hands and feet ). He wears a factory made Tyrolean-style boy's costume consisting of knee length black suede lederhosen with matching suspenders and cross panels across the chest, a white linen shirt and a felt waist length jacket with green edge trimming and applied red felt hearts on each side. In addition he has his original thick curly dark blond mohair wig covered by a green felt hat with darker green braid trim. The nicely coordinated all leather black shoes are in wonderful condition but likely not as old as the rest of the costume. US$ 1,850.

17 1/2" ( 44cm) beautiful character from Gebruder Heubach incised " 6970 Germany 7 " on original fully jointed pink wood and composition body stamped in red with the " Holz Masse " logo with excellent original finish. She has an open/closed pouty mouth with slight molded space but no teeth, wide chin with dimple, and lovely blue glass sleep eyes. Dressed in what could be an all factory original pale blue pleated cotton and lace dress with well coordinated antique light blue leather " Keystone " leather shoes with two button straps and an antique blond side parted wig with matching pale blue ribbon, she is a lovely larger than average ( but still cabinet size ) doll of top quality and great charm. US$ 3,950.
