Gorgeous early white 13 1/2" ( 34cm ) Steiff Pre-WWI teddy with metal button with " underscored f " signature with so-called " shoe button " eyes, long arms and hump on back, brown stitched horizontal nose, mouth, and claws, with original felt paw pads, and is jointed at neck, shoulder, and hips. He has an upturned snout and a determined quizzical look that gives him loads of personality! His overall condition is very good with excellent mohair retention and no unsightly bald areas. He is relatively clean but could be fluffed up a bit but only by someone who is experienced in the proper technique. There is one dark spot on the right lower paw and when we got him the right had pulled only ever so slightly away at one corner so there has been only one stitch there to firmly secure the ear. A gem of a bear and hard to find these days without any major issues! SOLD.

19 1/2 " ( 50cm ) glass eyed rare chocolate brown Steiff teddy marketed as " Baerchen " with working " growler " mechanism and retaining the original felt pads, with black stitched nose, mouth and claws. The button is no longer present in the left ear but is undoubtedly Steiff. The overall condition of the mohair is very good with slight loss primarily to nose area, left ear, and above the right eye. There is also some of the original black nose stitching either missing or shifted, but all in all is a very nice bear and hard to find in this size and color. US$ 1,450.

Extremely rare free standing white Steiff bear, 15' ( 38cm ) long by 9" (23cm ) tall, with brown glass eyes, brown stitched nose and mouth as well as claws, with old Steiff button in the left ear with the " underscored F " marking. The mohair has some typical wear throughout but no totally bald spots and is relatively clean and white with original felt pads. He is from the late 1930's as was marketed by Steiff as " Liebchen " ( darling ). US$ 1,500.

Cute early 1950's beige teddy with paper chest tag reading " Original Teddy Steiff Original Marke " ( and the bear logo ), still retains the metal button in the left ear, and has swivel joints at the head, shoulder, and hips. He has glass eyes, dark brown vertically stitched nose and similarly stitched mouth and claws. He still has his original silk ribbon around is neck, has very clean original paw pads with no moth damage, and the overall condition of the mohair excellent. This little charmer is 9"    ( 23cm ) tall. US$ 325.

Cute early 1950's Steiff beige teddy, 13" ( 33cm ), with button in left ear and yellow tag as well, with swivel neck joints at head , shoulders and hips, a brown embroidered nose, mouth, and claws, glass eyes and overall very good retention of fur. He does have a repair to his left front paw, but it is not too distracting and is otherwise a very nice bear. US$ 350.
